Taipei: I came at the right time for 'Protest'
(english)
Hello everybody! It's been a while I havn't use the internet because at my uncle's place he doesn't have wireless so I couldn't really transfer the pictures to the blog. life is not easy without... WIRELESS INTERNET!
So I came to Taipei on September 13th 2006. When I arrived at the airport, my uncle was waiting for me with my aunty and LueLue (cousin). He grew soo tall I couldn't believe my eyes! Two years ago he was not that tall! Now, my god! Kids these days sure grow tall faster!
Today I have internet because I stole it from a guy who named his wireless connection as: WANG. What a typical name for a Chinese... hahaha I guess he got his wireless today because I couldn't pick up any signal since the 13th of September.
Now I enjoy the Taipei weather... hot, humid and sticky even though it is SEPTEMBER ... today felt like 27 degrees Celcius. Which is pretty high for the season of Fall.
I've checked the weather in Montreal and it is like 19 Degree Celcius! Crazy!
What Eezu did so far in Taipei...
What else to do but SHOPPING! Taipei is the best place to go shopping. Since my grandparents lives near the 101 building, I went one afternoon shopping by myself. It was nice and calm: I loved it!
I went to this huge book store called "Page One" which is at the 5th floor or the floor before the Observation room of the 101 building. I didn't went for the observation room because it cost like 390 Yuan which is like around 15$ CAN. I spend it on postcards and memo books, it was a lot cheaper that way. Then, I went to Shimending to look some 'cute things'. Which I did find a lot of cute things. My cousin LueLue is a pro for grabing toys in the machine! Now I have a melody toy for like 10 YUAN in Canada it is like 50cents or 25 cents... haha soo great!
Anyways I also participated in a Protest for Taiwanese government... They want the president to depose his place because he isn't helping the R.O.C properly. So, all who are againts him wore red clothings and they all want to show him that Taiwan needs a new leader who can govern properly!! It is amazing to see that this country really know what they want. The other sides are the older folks who didn't went to military before... they want the leader A-pei to govern, they said that they want a new country. They didn't know that this guy is doing bad things for the nation... On the night of Friday September 16th, a load of Taiwanese people dressed in Red to protest! I took some pictures it was amazingly cheerfull, it is a non-violent protest... However the Green team seems a bit violent... Well I'll show you the pictures. :)
